About this project

Double Barrel Studios partnered with the Indigenous Prosperity Foundation (IPF) to produce a comprehensive suite of multimedia assets for the Launchpad Series — a flagship educational program designed to equip Indigenous entrepreneurs with foundational business skills and support.

Our team created the full motion graphics and visual packaging for the series, developing a custom graphic language that reflected IPF’s brand values and the diversity of the communities they serve. This included animated titles, transitions, lower thirds, and visual identifiers that unified more than six hours of instructional content into a cohesive, polished learning experience. To ensure accessibility and wide distribution across digital platforms, we also provided full captioning for the entire series.

Following production of the training modules, Double Barrel Studios developed a promotional video to support the national launch of the program. This piece distilled the purpose and vision of the Launchpad Series into a high-impact, audience-friendly format that IPF could share with funders, partners, and prospective participants. Complementing the promo video, we created a collection of social media assets optimized for multiple platforms, helping IPF extend the reach of the Launchpad initiative and build awareness within Indigenous business networks.

Throughout the engagement, we collaborated closely with IPF to honour cultural context, ensure clarity of communication, and reinforce the empowering tone of the program. Every creative decision — from motion design to messaging — was rooted in respect, accessibility, and a commitment to amplifying Indigenous entrepreneurship.

The result was a polished, culturally aligned multimedia package that elevated the Launchpad Series, strengthened IPF’s national outreach efforts, and supported the next wave of Indigenous business leaders.

Indigenous Prosperity Foundation – LAUNCHPAD Transcript

For generations, Indigenous people have sustained themselves through enterprise rooted in community. Today, that spirit continues with over 50,000 Indigenous-owned businesses contributing more than 30 billion annually to Canada's economy where people are creating jobs, fueling economies and building vibrant communities for a stronger future. Introducing the Indigenous Launchpad for Entrepreneurs, a program created by and for Indigenous communities designed to guide young entrepreneurs as they turn their ideas into action.

Indigenous peoples have always been entrepreneurial. With the Launchpad, we're helping Indigenous entrepreneurs across Canada with the digital tools, mentorship and funding they need to grow, building businesses that reflect their values, their culture and their vision for the future. The Launchpad gives young entrepreneurs the tools they need to succeed.

Five hours of Indigenous-led expert-created content can be completed on your own pace or alongside others in a guided cohort. Participants are supported by mentors. Seed funding is available to help test ideas and turn inspiration into action. At DMZ, one of our core values, equity over everything, means meeting entrepreneurs where they are so they have a real shot at success.

When we saw the gap in support for Indigenous entrepreneurs, we knew that we needed the right partners. Through Stacey LaForme, we connected with NAKA and right away, we knew this was the collaboration that we'd been looking for. From the very beginning, authenticity was our guide. Indigenous leaders, creators and storytellers shaped every detail, ensuring that the Launchpad reflects who we are.

Leading this project as an ally in partnership with DMZ means being intentional every step of the way. Guided by the Indigenous Prosperity Foundation values of honor, empowerment, reciprocity and respect. The Indigenous Launchpad for Entrepreneurs is more than a program. It's a tool rooted in community, culture and future building.

This program welcomes all curious minds, but tailored support is available to verified Indigenous entrepreneurs. This isn't business as usual. It's business with intent. It's about sustainability, purpose. Our values echo the teachings that remind every participant you belong here. The Indigenous Launchpad Program is now accessible through both the DMZ and IPF websites, offering Indigenous entrepreneurs a powerful platform to grow, connect and thrive.

DMZ is proud to stand as an ally committed to fostering inclusive innovation and supporting Indigenous-led ventures every step of the way. Knowledge builds confidence. Mentorship builds power. Guided online training provides Indigenous entrepreneurs with the tools to learn on their terms, on their timeline and in their community, mentors that understand the journey and funding that has the opportunity to turn ideas into action.

The Launchpad is more than a curriculum. It's a movement. This is what happens when consultation becomes creation and when Indigenous voices don't just join the conversation, they lead it. Starting a business takes courage. It means taking risks and figuring things out as you go. The Launchpad for Indigenous Entrepreneurship Community is here to support you in every step of the way.

Through the courses we have developed, the workshops we will host and the mentorship available to you is a part of this journey. We are so excited to see where this ambition takes you. Let's get started. Find out more at indigenousfoundation.ca.
