Courses open multiple times per year and there's support 24/7. Select the course with the start date, end date and requirements best for you. Your course is developed and delivered by the host college. You earn course credits where you register. Your registering college welcomes you to the OntarioLearn portal. It all starts here at OntarioLearn.

Just log in to the OntarioLearn portal and you will have access to all your online courses with us. Each course you enrol in might be offered on a different learning management system, but you only have to sign in to the OntarioLearn portal once. Once you log in, you'll see announcements on the main screen. Here, you can read important notices about your courses and the resources available to you.

Let's look at My Courses. On the left, you'll see a list of the courses you're enrolled in, the course title, then information when the course is available. Once the course opens, connect to the course content in its learning management system. Be sure to verify if your course requires a final exam. Examination arrangements can vary by course with in-person, off-site or online options.

The communications menu offers lots of ways to keep in touch with other students, including chats, discussion forums, and email. Click on the content tab to see course content like notes and activities. Look for resources. You'll see several tools to help you in your studies. And the assessment tab links you to Dropbox folders.

This is where you find assignments, tests, and upload your responses for your instructor to mark. Review the rubric, check due dates, prepare with practice tests, or complete a required quiz from lists available in the drop-down menu. Monitor how you are doing with marks and comments on your progress with a snapshot of your course achievements here.

Check your profile in Moodle to be sure you are set up to receive communications. Select My Profile Settings and choose what you'd like to do. Set your preferences for people to contact you in Edit Profile and how you will be notified in Messaging. Next, enter the course and explore how it will unfold. Your instructor may choose to post the grades you achieve through the course here. You can find the same information in the navigation box on the left side of the page for each session.

The OntarioLearn portal gives you the tools you need to create a great learning experience. The password protected area of OntarioLearn portal has several features for you.

You'll see sections for centralized announcements, course details, resources and more. To read important announcements and updates from us, just click on the link you see here. The "My Courses" section lists information about the subjects you are teaching. Click on the button under the heading "Connect To" and you'll access the course content on its learning management system.

You can see your class list by clicking on "Generate" under the heading "Connect To". Now, let's turn to the instructors area. This link takes you to the grades area. This is where you record your students' marks so member colleges can retrieve the results for their registered students. Select this link to the discussion forum.

This is an area where you can share ideas and ask questions with fellow instructors. Click on "Search Students" at the bottom of the page to find out in which section a student is registered. Be sure to check out the "Resources" section. You'll find useful information about support services here. There's even a newsletter released for instructors to keep you up to date each term.
