Creative director & CEO Roslyn Mugford has been working for over 15 years in broadcast television, documentary and digital video production with major Canadian networks & organizations. Since launching Double Barrel in 2012, she has produced hundreds of videos for businesses and organizations of all sizes to creatively deliver their stories from script to screen.
Roz has extensive skills both in front of and behind the camera, having written, produced, directed and hosted her own magazine, radio and television content since 2002. Throughout her career she has consistently been at the leading edge of content and technology. In 2010, she was hired as the only female producer on the award-winning CTV Olympic Digital Team in Vancouver, creating online streamable content for the network when Netflix was just a twinkle in their CEO’s eye.
Since launching Double Barrel in 2012, Roz has led her team in the creation of hundreds of videos for companies and organizations of all sizes and across all industries, in styles ranging from comedy to documentary. Whether it’s education or business, healthcare or manufacturing, consumer-facing or non-profit - Roz’s depth of experience allows her to to speak the language of any industry while keeping a sharp eye on the audience to ensure your message is delivered.
Dale has extensive front and back-end skills, having built websites, software products and services for the past 12 years professionally.
His former business BraveNewCode was founded in 2008 as a web design and development company and grew into a WordPress software company. Their flagship product WPtouch transformed websites that didn’t work well on mobile devices and became a smash hit, downloaded over 11.3 million times.
Dale has been principal to building several other software projects and client websites. Clients included Rogers Inc. (desktop & mobile app for their music platform), Ontario Chamber of Commerce (complete web overhaul) and musician Matthew Good (several websites).
At Double Barrel, Dale has already worked on several web projects, notably overhauling Execulink Telecom’s website, while adding the ability to purchase products and services online. Execulink Telecom’s new website has extensive unique location-based, e-commerce and functional customizations that require a technical expertise that only a senior design and development professional can provide. He has also revamped NWML Electric's website, and is currently working on a new version of Drone Boy's website.
Juan runs a creative studio based in Cali, Colombia. Juan and his team partnered with Double Barrel Studios in 2018 to offer high-quality animation & motion graphics for our discerning clients.
His studio specializes in creating custom made, concept to final product animations, where he and his team of 7 bring the experience of working with multi-sector companies to each video they create.
Juan has been working for more than 10 years on different animation projects and advertisement campaigns for companies around the world.
He has directed over 100 projects ranging from animation, commercials, animated web series, and corporate video campaigns for companies in Canada, the U.S, Colombia, Panama, Spain & Guatemala.
Hélène Caron is a francophone with over 20 years experience in translation and voice-overs, including Québec/Ontario cultural contextualization. After a successful 10-year corporate career, she started her own French services consulting firm while earning her M.A. (French); she is currently in her last year of her PhD (French) at McMaster University. Her clients include MADD Canada, Ontario Ministry of Education, Parks Canada, Neurozone, Pantene, Manulife, Yamaha, Air Canada and Deloitte.
She is actively involved in supporting francophone communities in minority situations through her volunteering with francophone organizations in Hamilton (for ex. Centre francophone de Hamilton, département de français de l’université McMaster, groupe de concertation des organismes francophones) and her weekly radio show French Toast on CFMU 93.3FM. In 2020, in recognition for her exceptional contributions to the vitality of the French language in Ontario, she was one of six province-wide recipients for the title of “Chevalier” of the Ordre de la Pléiade awarded by the Assemblée parlementaire de la francophonie, a worldwide organization based in Paris, France.
Stefan Randström is a Finnish-Canadian filmmaker who has worked all over the world as a director and DOP. He shoots and directs everything from independent documentaries to episodic television and commercial productions.
Recent work includes “The Kingdom of The Tides”, a natural history for The Nature of Things at CBC, and “Equator 360”, a documentary series about global warming around the equator for Discovery, ARTE and NHK.
Pamela is a Registered Professional Planner who discovered how her need for being creative could be used in planning work to strengthen and clarify conversations and develop consensus. Drawing images and illustrations to support complex and difficult conversations as they take place is powerful. Through this process, groups visually see their conversation as it unfolds and develop shared understanding.
Pamela provides graphic facilitation, graphic recording, and engagement for dozens of clients in many different sectors (FIrst Nations, government, not for profit, private, health care, education, environmental) in Canada, the United States, New Zealand and Australia.
