Reeves Financial Services: Employee Retention Transcript
As a business owner, you spend a lot of time trying to build an enduring company. In order to do that, you have to have the right people on board. In this marketplace, small and mid-sized businesses need to be able to attract and retain skilled and flexible employees. Even during challenging economic times, it's always a struggle to find and keep key talent.
According to a recent survey from workforce solutions leader Kelly Services, many employees across Canada are becoming disengaged from their work, with small businesses experiencing the highest levels of turnover. Employers that take care of their team today and help secure their tomorrow will be well-positioned to attract and retain the best. Employers need to consider as many options as possible when it comes to finding and keeping their employees.
Today's employees know that retirement isn't going to be the same for them as it was for their parents and grandparents. As a result, they're giving increased consideration to employers that not only provide a good work environment, but also offer them an opportunity to achieve some level of financial security. A compensation package that includes an employer-sponsored savings plan, like a group RRSP, appeals to people who are future-oriented, which is a very desirable employee characteristic.
Additionally, with a savings or retirement plan in place, a business appears more professional and competitive. New data from the Environics Research Group shows that 89% of Canadians want workplace-based retirement savings programs. Additionally, 56% of those not already in such plans are interested in joining one, with younger workers particularly keen to do so.
Four in ten workers would consider changing jobs to an employer that offered one. A properly designed and managed savings program can not only help you to attract the desired employees, but it can also help you reduce turnover, hiring and retraining costs, and the loss of organizational memory. Additionally, when properly promoted, a customized employer-sponsored savings plan from Reeves Group Solutions can be a very effective tool to generate employee appreciation and improve productivity, helping you grow your business.
A plan is only as successful as the service and expertise that accompanies it. That's why it's important to partner with an organization with the necessary support, knowledge, and acumen. With the experience and long-established relationships with business partners, Reeves can provide complete support to your team, including training, information sessions, advice, tools, statements, and reporting.
Reeves Group Solutions. Taking care of you, your employees, and your bottom line. And that gives you some peace of mind. And that is real value. And that is real value.

Reeves Financial Services: Group Benefits Transcript
As a business owner, you expect a lot from your team. Often they're like family. You need them to be productive and loyal so you can stay competitive. And that means that you need to take care of your talent, so that they can take care of your business. In order to create a successful company, employers need to consider as many options as possible when it comes to attracting the best and various employees.
While a base salary can be important, more and more people are looking for a total compensation package. Employee benefits are a tremendous opportunity for you to protect your most precious resource, which is your people and your team. A well-considered custom compensation package increases employee engagement short-term and long-term.
And that has a significant impact on overall organizational performance. A group benefits plan can be cost-effectively designed for your particular business. It can save you money in the long run, and it becomes a key part of the compensation package that drives your employees, and thus your business. Today's employees are looking for more than just a job.
They're looking for a partner. They're looking for a company who's going to take care of them not only now, but for years to come. Employee benefits provide something that many employees would not have had otherwise, especially health and dental benefits. But what they provide for an employer is a partnership with their employees.
They have a relationship with you that they trust and value. And that's something that is priceless. Employee morale is priceless because happy employees are productive employees. If you have an environment where you know that your employer cares about you and is putting this in place for you to access, then you're working harder for them.
You're more loyal to them because you understand that they have that care and concern about your well-being as well as your family's. Healthy and secure employees directly translate into happy, stable, long-term working relationships and greater productivity. And in a small or mid-sized business where each employee is a critical member of the team, this can have a direct and positive impact on your company's bottom line.
Many small and medium-sized business owners that want to put a benefits plan in place believe their best or only option is a large association plan. Large association plans are not the only option, nor are they necessarily the best option for small and medium-sized businesses because they often employ a one-size-fits-all approach. Reece Financial Services works with employers to find out what benefit plan makes the most sense for them.
We do that by talking to the employer and talking to the employees to find out what they value in a benefits plan. We're committed to education. We're committed to listening to what our clients need. And we want to make sure that the program benefits their employees as well as their business. Reeves Group Solutions designs the right benefits plan to fit your compensation goals at the right price.
But that's just the beginning. Reeves proactively looks for cost savings and plan improvements. And their team assists you and your employees to understand and embrace a healthy and productive workplace. Using customized solutions including tailored communications, education programs, and more. Reeves Group Solutions, taking care of you, your employees, and your bottom line. And that gives you some peace of mind. And that is real value. We'll see you next time.
Reeves Financial Services: Employee Profile – Lindsey Transcript
My name is Lindsey Kretsch and I'm a Wealth and Insurance Advisor at Reeves Financial Services. One of the biggest positives about joining Reeves Financial Services is that I have a nice blend of working for myself and being able to build my own business, yet at the same time I can draw on the resources and expertise of the team around me. There's a huge focus here on everybody helping each other, everybody supporting each other, and here I feel like I'm actually a valued member of the team.
I've never felt so comfortable somewhere before in my entire life. So from day one of me starting at Reeves Financial Services, I was given a lot of flexibility in guiding my own training program, and I was also able to develop a business plan that was based on my own ideas and focused on my own strengths. When I was making the decision to come over to Reeves Financial Services, I was concerned about making another move so early into my career, but I soon realized that as I was telling my clients why I made the move, that they saw what benefits they would get as a client.
I have a much greater range of products that I can provide them to suit all of their needs, and I'm not stuck to just proprietary funds. The other thing Reeves Financial Services has been able to offer me was a competitive compensation structure, and what they do is put an equal focus on all of the products that they provide. So what that allows me to do is focus on my clients' needs first, as opposed to thinking of what products that I need to sell the most of, in order to keep up a steady flow of income for myself.
So what makes me passionate about being in this role is that I have the ability to help people. I love being in front of the client and helping them to better their future, and I'm happy doing that for the rest of my life.
